Plans/Graphs

During a control, it is requested that you provide to the approved organization which carries out the control of your electrical installation, the following information:

  • A single-line wiring graphic plan: composed of various symbols which describe the composition of the various circuits and its interconnections (if available).
  • and a position graphic plan: A plan taking the positioning of the elements of electrical installation described in the single-line wiring graphic plan, such as: the position of the terminal boxes, of the distribution boxes, socket-outlets, luminous points and switches (if available).
  • The EAN Code of your electric meter (this one is included in your electricity invoice and it’s composed of 18 digits)

These 3 elements are added with the report statement which will be transmitted to your notary in order to finalize the sale of your house or apartment.

If you do not have the position graphic plan at the moment of the visit, and if your electrical installation dates before October 1st, 1981, a SGS controller will have to draw them for you.

If you do not have these single-line wiring and position graphic plans at the moment of the visit, and if your electrical installation dates after 1 October 1981, the SGS controller will not draw these ones for you on the spot, and the report will be non-compliant.
Please find attached an example on how to make these graphic plans yourself:
